We examine the job description of a pastor -- prayer, proclaim the gospel, prepare the saints, protect the sheep and persevere in the faith.  Of course there are obstacles to achieving all that.  And there are applications to the rest of us. When we stay the course, His Kingdom is realized in the here and now.
